A receipt can help support a warranty claim, but the useful details are often spread across the receipt, product documentation, and retailer or manufacturer terms. Recording the expiry date and a short note while those details are available can make the receipt easier to find and review later.
PKTD supports that recordkeeping workflow without promising an outcome or notification delivery.
Record the warranty information you can verify
After you scan or add a receipt, mark the record as having a warranty and enter the information you confirmed from the applicable terms:
- the warranty expiry date;
- notes about the covered item or model;
- relevant coverage terms or exclusions;
- a support contact or claim reference if useful; and
- any context needed to connect the warranty to the receipt.
The receipt record does not establish coverage by itself. Warranty terms and legal rights vary by retailer, manufacturer, product, jurisdiction, and sometimes the purchase, delivery, or registration date. Check the applicable terms and consumer law before relying on a date.
How PKTD shows warranty expiries
PKTD lets you store a warranty expiry date and notes with the receipt. It surfaces upcoming warranty expiries in Warranties and Dashboard when you open the app. In Warranties, dates within the next 30 days appear in Expiring Soon, with later and expired records grouped separately.
PKTD currently presents this information in-app and does not send warranty notifications.
Local receipt-text inference may populate the warranty expiry date and notes, and, with your consent, optional AI may suggest those fields; you can review, add, or edit them.
Use the same receipt workflow
Warranty information can stay with the receipt you already keep for purchase records. Add the expiry date and notes while the documentation is available, then update the record if the retailer or manufacturer provides corrected terms.
This keeps the source receipt, verified date, and useful notes together without requiring a separate spreadsheet.
Review upcoming expiries in the app
Open Dashboard or Warranties when you want to review upcoming warranty expiries. PKTD provides an organized in-app view; it does not guarantee coverage, claim acceptance, savings, or any other outcome.
