The information, features, and output available through PKTD — including but not limited to AI-extracted receipt data, category suggestions, spending summaries, dashboard analytics, and AI Assistant responses — are provided for informational and organizational purposes only.

Nothing in PKTD constitutes, and should not be construed as:

• Tax advice or tax preparation services
• Accounting or bookkeeping services
• Legal advice or legal services
• Investment, insurance, or regulatory advice

2. AI Accuracy

PKTD uses on-device OCR (Apple Vision) and third-party AI parsing (OpenAI GPT-4o mini) to extract structured data from receipt images. AI systems are probabilistic and may produce inaccurate results. Specifically:

• Merchant names may be misread, abbreviated, or incorrect.
• Amounts, taxes, tips, and totals may be extracted incorrectly — especially from damaged, faded, handwritten, or non-standard receipts.
• Dates may be parsed in the wrong format or misinterpreted.
• Line items may be incomplete, merged, or misattributed.
• Categories are AI-inferred and may not reflect the true nature of a purchase.
• Currency detection may be incorrect for international receipts.
• AI Assistant responses may contain incorrect, misleading, or fabricated information (commonly referred to as "hallucinations").

Accuracy depends on receipt quality, lighting, formatting, language, legibility, and other factors beyond our control.

3. Your Responsibility to Verify

Before using PKTD output for personal budgeting, business expense reporting, tax filing, reimbursement claims, or any other important purpose, you must:

• Review every extracted field (merchant, date, amount, category) against the original receipt.
• Correct any errors using the in-app editing interface.
• Retain original receipts as required by tax and accounting regulations in your jurisdiction.
• Consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your situation.

4. No Warranties

PKTD is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind — express, implied, or statutory — including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy. We do not warrant that PKTD will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

5. No Fiduciary Relationship

Your use of PKTD does not create a fiduciary, advisor-client, accountant-client, or attorney-client relationship with Lumin Marketing Group. We are a software provider, not a financial institution, accounting firm, tax preparer, or advisory service.

6. Third-Party Services

PKTD relies on third-party services including OpenAI (AI features), Apple (App Store, iOS frameworks, and iCloud or CloudKit where available), and operational providers used for website and waitlist flows. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, reliability, or practices of these third-party services beyond our direct contractual arrangements with them. Use of third-party services is also subject to their own terms and policies.

7. Tax and Regulatory Compliance

Tax laws, recordkeeping requirements, and accounting standards vary by country, province, state, and industry, and change over time. PKTD's categorization, calculations, and exports are provided as convenience tools — they are not guaranteed to meet any specific tax, regulatory, audit, or compliance requirement. It remains your responsibility to ensure your records meet the requirements of the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and any other relevant authority.
